A balmy breeze shifting a humid afternoon

A rainy exhale after a sticky sun

Turning and changing with the seasons

A cold front coming in

You are weather too

A cautious embrace following a tense disregard

Sometimes in each other’s whirlwind

Sometimes spun out

And no one

Can be taken from their weather

Your storm

Cannot take my storm away

Only add to it

Your breeze

Cannot force my clouds to leave

They will simply keep moving

Just like your breeze will keep moving

Moving together

Or moving separately

It Doesn’t Matter

Let my weather be

Let my weather speak

And I will let your weather be and speak

Winter must allow summer

And summer must allow winter

And if we welcome each other

If we lift up each other in power

Then fall and spring come as a blessing

If you think you are more powerful than me

In your cold snowfall

If you think you can forget

The skin toasty from a bout with the sun

You are wrong

You do not have power over my fire
